Athletic Honoree
Stan White is a graduate of W.A. Berry High school in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a 1st team All-State quarterback in 1988 and led his team to a state championship game appearance that same year. From there, he signed with Auburn University and went on to hold numerous records that still stand today, over 3 decades later. His senior year he was named permanent team captain for their 1993 undefeated and National Championship team.
He was also named SEC player of the year from notable organizations such as Birmingham Touchdown Club and Monday Morning Quarterback Club of Birmingham. After that, he signed with the New York Giants where he spent 4 seasons in the NFL along with one season with the NFL Europe London Monarchs as their starting quarterback. Upon retiring from football White entered the broadcast booth for the next 22 years, where he would be on the call for some of the most iconic broadcast calls in Auburn history alongside Jim Fyffe and Rod Bramblett. In 2022, White is one of only 140 inductees in Auburn history to be enshrined into the Auburn University Hall Of Fame Tiger Trail where a plaque is inlaid on the streets of downtown Auburn bearing his name. White has owned a State Farm Insurance agency franchise for 25 years, but his passion is volunteer coaching high school football and baseball for the past several years at John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham.
