Through our partnership with the Alabama Power Foundation’s ABC Trust, we’re able to help veterans with emergency rent assistance. A portion of the funding we receive from the ABC Trust — which primarily helps us pay utility bills through our Utilities for Heroes program — can also be used for rent and food. Right now, many veterans are being forced to choose between paying rent, keeping the lights on, or putting food on the table.
We’re actively working to expand Rent for Heroes so we can help even more veterans stay stable.
